The new DVG headquarters in Hanover-Bemerode extends over a length of 380 m. The great, climate-controlled glass halls provide place for a staff of 2,000. The office building proper is topped by three "floating" closed glass roofs constituting a climate buffer between the inside and the surrounding world.

Spacious atriums bathed in light, planted with olive and mulberry trees, evoke the atmosphere of Mediterranean landscapes. The play of light and shadow under the glazed roof creates ever-changing, captivating ripples of shades and colors. Overheating of the office spaces in summer is prevented by the optional opening of large areas of the roof glazing. To ensure perfect airflow within these huge spaces and to optimize the spaceframe structures, extensive wind tunnel tests were performed before.
