With a total surface of approx. 9,500 sqm, the mesh-type roof was realized in MERO Block Node System. The double grid structure for the fixing of LED panels consists of a hexagonal primary structure of MERO square tubes and the internal secondary structure of MERO round tubes. The total structure is stabilized from the ground and surrounding buildings by tree columns and suspensions.

The roof structure is executed without cladding, but will have LED panels installed to the underside, which will provide not only shading from the sun during the day, but also a means illuminating the open walkways at night, with both colour and moving graphics. Such, the shopping mile is comfortable during the day, and creates an atmospheric and attractive place at nighttime.

The concept design was optimised by MERO-TSK, using our extensive design and engineering experience, resulting in a reduction of 40% of the number of columns required, and the elimination of the two proposed movement joints.
